Default Port of Aberdeen's South Harbour

This large investment for the port now nearing completion. It started at £300 million, now near £400 million and about one and a half years behind schedule. I can't complain they still pay me a pension.
The Bay of Nigg was once a very popular picnic area for many, many years. I first remember it in the early 1950's when the anti-tank blocks from the war were still there. The blocks made great wind breaks when the weather wasn't great. I think the postcard is from the 1930's judging from the styles of clothes.

    Hi Bill.
Brought back some memories, Ran into Aberdeen many times while on the Coast. Remember going to a dance there a few times, poor girls were drowned in perfume trying to keep the fish smell away, but they were still lovely.
