channel crossings
good afternoon,According to a report put out by the goverment, it seems the british goverment are taking a one billion pound legal action against the french for the deaths of thirty one persons lost from a inflatable dinghy on the 24th november 2021 when the passengers in the diinghy sent out a distress call which was recieved by the french authorities, the french then phoned the RNLI at dover and asked them to attend the distressed dinghy,
dover after checking the coordinates found the dinghy was still in french waters and reported this back to the french, the machinations and shananigans
around the rest of the actions by the french is the reason stated by the british is why thirty one people died.and so the reason for the court action.

Re: channel crossings
Why the surpise ? , the French are quite happy to pass the buck over to the UK and the UK leaders are too weak to do much about it. It was
long accepted that asylum must be asked and given in the first European land of entry but the French just laugh at this and show them the
shortest road to Calais.

Re: channel crossings
France has 44 thousand less illegal migrants to worry about. No longer there problem. The French are laughing at the UK. The UK are actually paying France for assitance in stopping the crossings. Be greatful just think if the French were not being paid, there would have been more crossings. lol.

Re: channel crossings
The French dinghy, RIB and outboard motor industries are worth taking shares in! Surely the French Govt is complicit in the supply of such items, and the gendarmerie have no inclination to deflate these methods of transport before they reach the water, they only carry compasses to give the illegals and not knifes to deflate the boats

Re: channel crossings
According to figures the UK has taken in over the past 5600,000 people including illegals, persons from Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Hong Kong.
It has cost the gov, or should i say you the tax payers some 7 million GBP per day.
How long can the UK sustain this, where do you find accommodation for such numbers?
The amount this year would be enough for a second Liverpool, that is how you can measure it.

Re: channel crossings
The UK cannot sustain the influx of migrants, ship them down to Australia you have plenty of room.

Re: channel crossings
Yes, we have some very large desert regions just looking for new intakes.
One small problem, bring your own water food and tents.
