You couldn't make it up. 2
The FDA Union which represents Civil Servants are asking for a heating allowance for those C. S. who have chosen to work from home.
Now these C.S. who are London based also receive about £4k London allowance to aid travel expense.
Time to get tough back to work or be sacked.

The couple that live next door are also working from home. Both have top jobs in the same London city company, and have company cars. He told me some time back, that they both get Heating, or AC allowances in summer, in their own right. Because they sometimes go into town, they full get London weighting.
Not bad eh! Sometimes I wish my neighbours didn't tell me things.

Here in Oz all who worked from home during the Pandemic were allowed to claim 80 cents per hour off their annual tax returns. This was to cover heating, cooling, phone, printers, office equipment etc.
But then the tax man came to realize that revenues from tax was falling, billions of dollars.
So now if you work from home you must keep a daily diary of all your usage of the above before you will even be able to consider claiming.

A moo slim journalist working for the BBC in a meeting in Manchester has complained that he is suffering from mental stress issues because as he enters the newsroom all the faces are white. Apart from the UK being (still) a mainly Caucasian country what on earth does he expect. If he wishes to see mainly Arab faces then perhaps his journalistic talents need some re-adjustment, perhaps he should apply to Al-Jazeera.
Apart from anything else had a Caucasian made a remark that he is suffering from mental stress because all he sees are black faces when entering a workplace he would be arrested and charged with racism, needless to say no action was taken against the aforementioned complainant

I read the article, he was based in London for 20 years and never had a problem.
Mr Arthanayake added that he has noticed a difference since moving north after living in London for 20 years.
He said: “Since moving up here, being called the P-word – that didn’t happen in London. You’d get a slap for that in London, not even from me.”
Oh dear them racist Northerners tut tut!!
If he doesn't like it UP NORTH bugger off back down to London.
Maybe I am missing the point? He should get a move to BBC Leeds or Bradford, perhaps Radio Bolton , Blackburn, Oldham , Rochdale . No shortage of his mates around those locations.

Now the mood is changing.
Many companies here now have told staff if you still want to work from home then you are no longer employed by us.
Another told staff work from home if you wish, but your salary will be cut and all benefits removed

Intelligent reporting
A USA correspondent is delighted that a US fighter Jet has been found in Italy after 80 years.
I got news for you buddy the USA didn't have fighter jets in 1943. The plane discovered was in fact a P38 Lightening a twin prop twin bodied aircraft and a direct copy of the British Mosquito

A BLOODY CHEEK
Bristol University has stopped playing the National Anthem at events and graduations as some foreign, as well as British students found it offensive. Suffice to say the complainants names were not Caucasian, no hint of a Smith or Jones. Can you imagine this happening in the USA, you would be back on a plane to your home country quicker than you could say George Washington. Why do our spineless Universities cowtow to these minorities.

Easy answer I suspect is that foreign student fees go a long way to paying their wages. Maybe they shold play the national anthem of the student who is graduating. Used to that going down the Elbe?
