Maybe it is time the Border force and RNLI applied the rule? no Q flag no port entry.

The Q Flag As per INTERCO, the Q flag denotes “My vessel is healthy. I require free pratique”. It is a flag that is hoisted inevitably by all vessels prior to entering the port to denote that the vessel is healthy and disease free and requests clearance.

In reply to #92, we stopped the boats for two reasons.
One, they were full of illegal so called refugees,
Two, the number that drowned at sea on the crossings was just too much.

The people smugglers did not care if some died at sea, they had their money.
So yes lock them up, any country has the right to say who enters, where, when and by what means.

Of course all these rubber dinghies are taking passengers from the true ferry services.
