I remember how we used to Castrate the pigs we had at the farm. In to a crate with them up side down.
Two quick snips with a blade, the 'next'.
Bit sore for a day or so but fine after that.
Would need a bigger crate though for some of the illegals I fear.
I worked all my spare time on farms from 12 - 16 years old, the first farmer I worked for always left the piglets till they were too big before castrating them. It took two men and me to do it, one held the pig up by its back legs, I had to grab and hold its snout behind the guy holding it to stop it biting his legs, while the farmer did the business with a cutthroat razor. Once removed, the testicles were thrown down and devoured by the other pigs in the pen. I once witnessed a pig eat his own, so no waste there then.
I have known some Pig framers who also ate them, I was told they are quite tasty.!!
Supposed to be you can eat any part of a pig apart form the snout. Doubt that as the likes of SPAM and luncheon meet are not known as Lips & Assholes for nothing
also said the only part you cannot eat is the squeak.
