The Hubble Telescope
The news for the past couple of days has been the new views available today of distant galaxies , and terms like distances of 750 Billion light years read off like it is nothing. I wonder how many try to think what a massive a distance that is ? as light travels at 186000 miles a second. Stars in our own solar system viewed by eye light years away one is viewing them as they were years ago and in theory may today may no longer exist unless I am viewing and interpreting the laws of science wrongly. ? Re: The Hubble Telescope
Indeed you are correct JS
Its absolutely amazing to even try and think of those distances, its way beyond me and i guess many others too!
But the making of all these very Powerful Telescopes etc is something we can be so thankful for, at least it does give us a small insight into Space and the ret out there! I can never get around the fact that there is as i have read NO END!!!!! Its too mind boggling!!

Re: The Hubble Telescope
Sometimes I wonder what we could see if we stood on the edge of the Universe and looked outwards and 'beyond'. The backs of our own heads, perhaps.
