    Default Bbc

There is another thread on the BBC, rather than muddle it I have started a new one.
At one time the BBC was respected throughout the world for its impartial and truthful broadcasts, I doubt it is today.
Last night I watched BBC six o'clock news, there was a segment on UK energy and the falling in production of North Sea Gas, which was accompanied by the compulsory graph.

Where the reporter got his figures from is unknown, the last 3 months of 2020 the UK exported over 15,000 giga watt hours of gas, and in the same three months for 2021, we exported over 30,000 giga watt hours of gas hardly a fall in exports.
    Hardly a decline in output.

The BBC is determined to knock this country at every opportunity and will be more determined than ever now that the Govt has had the temerity to advise them that their funds from the public are being curtailed. These people live in a bubble like most, if not all, newsreaders who do not realise they live in a well paid bubble but actually think they are underpaid for reading an autocue or asking questions which have been transmitted down their earpieces. Even these mundane readers do not have the intelligence to hide their privileged lifestyle, talking about 'their driver' who brings them to work and takes them home, yes if you have to be in the studio at 0400 there may not be transport available, but your transport is provided foc, others on night shifts have to pay for their own, and there are full public transport services available in the afternoon, both in London and Media City in Salford to make your way home. The list of privileges they spout about is endless, but they haven't the wit to realise that they are privileges not available for the man in the street to afford.

For example a News reader who is on £100,000 plus per annum, plus expenses, plus gold plated pension (probably non-contributary) when this BBC employee appears on Strictly Come Dancing, the least they get is £25,000 for just appearing, even if knocked out on week one, survive 4 weeks you get £50,000, reach the quarter finals you receive £75,000, all the time you are on BBC full salary. Over 60% of those appearing/performing on strictly have been BBC employees, nice work if you can get it. Encourage your grandchildren to become Blue Peter employees, your future is secure (maybe!)

Not just your BBC, here in Oz the Always Biased Corporation (ABC) is just as bad.
They run what they laughingly call the noon news service.
At best it is little more than a magazine, and not a very good one.

Reporters who splutter and stutter through their presentation to the point where the viewer, along with the reporter one suspects has no idea what the subject is about.

They are well over paid for what they present, are so biased towards Labor it is an embarassment, and they complain that 1 billion dollars a year is not enough to run the show!!
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

$1b that's cheap at half the price, BBC needs £5b to run, of which £3.7b is paid in licence fees.

the balance could be saved by cutting the outrageous salaries and cutting down on jollies for overpaid presenters e.g. Rip off Britain, sent three well paid presenters to and full production team to Tenerife to produce a programme about - rip offs in Britain? Sending news reporters the length of the country when there are perfectly decent local staff.
