Re: child murder
I believe that the birth mother is doing time for another crime . You really can’t script it.

Marion, unfortunately the poor little lad 'lost' his birth mother when she was jailed for manslaughter after killing her new partner, he never stood a chance with that start to life.

Re: child murder
#55.. Iran more better known as Persia to older people was considered the cradle of Civilisation at one time. Has proven through history to be the centre of obstruction to surrounding nations , especially to the Israeli nation since over 2000 years ago when they destroyed Solomon’s Temple and took the Jews into captivity. Those contentions are still there and they make no bones about it .It is a continuing fermenting problem in the Middle East, but the jews of the new world are capable of defending themselves . It is all past history which will not catch up with the present day due to the vehemence of a few who are in the minority still holding feelings mainly of religious fervour, and still living in those times . Hitler held similar views and to his biographers, nearly always they mentioned his support for the Aryan nation. JS .
As for Churchill John as said before and still hold the same views , although he must take all of the glory for being a good war time leader, and succeeded where others would probably have failed. He was to put it bluntly considered by working people to be a warmonger , and where you say he was prepared to go on for years , this again by his biographers would have been against Russia who he forecast as future trouble. Troubles with Russia started after their Revolution think it was about 1928 but same again was political . All the populace wants mainly , is just to live in peace , and not be forced into war by arrogant people seeking self advancement. JS
Think I’ve done it again and wandered off so this post will have to be moved to the other channel. But was in answer to yours. Keep it off the BBC channel however as it will receive further distortion . Apart from reading your Iraq for Iran . Too early in the morning for me . Have tried to erase my own posts before and not succeeded , so anyone can just erase totally as necessary. Sorry ,JS

Re: child murder
There is another form of child murder that goes unnoticed by the majority.
It occurs in very poor nations, particularly some parts of Africa.
They give birth knowing there is little food available, country at war, sickness all around but still get them selves potted.
The children die from malnutrition and disease, then they have another one.
Is that not some form of murder in a simpilfied manner?
Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: child murder
Indeed it is John, My wife, an ex nurse, always said. The the charitable organizations going in to those countries to help. Their first objective should be to teach birth control. Easy said, but of course cost and availability*come into play.

Re: child murder
Watched the pictures on the news, Social Services failed again. Same old messages leasons will be learned.
Locking the two up for however long is not enough, death penalty should be reinstated for crimes such as this.
