I may be getting old, but those floating hotels send a shiver down my spine. To me they all look like a disaster waiting to happen... Floating contraventions of the laws of physics. Why anyone would even think of putting to sea in one of those is way beyond me 😱

Looking at that photo all I can say is OMG, WTF?????
But supprisingly those modern cruise ships handle the seas far better than n they look to be able to do.
Most weight is below the water line, so are some crew accommodation, but mush of the super structure is now of composite material so not as heavy as pure steel.
They are built for comfort not speed and very rarely run above about 18 knots.
