Good luck to the lass, hope she makes it to the top, seems to be a well balanced young lady, it takes spunk to make it in a male dominated environment, especially in her home country and adjacent neighbours.

I wouldnt say she was in a male dominated world Ivan judging by the vessels she is employed on. She will have by now have got used to any ribald remarks applied to her and accept them in good faith the same as male seamen had to do. Thats what equal rights is all about isnt it. ? JS

Apparently, seems the Suez Canal has cleared the backlog of ships
5 days after Ever Given dislodged.

We have at present a controversy about the rights of women to go about their business unmolested, especially in our Federal parliament, the young woman in that picture has done more than i was capable of, she obtained her tickets, good luck to her, especially as she has done it in a male oriented country.

I would still have had that pic on my cabin bulkhead.

Apparently, The huge container ship that blocked the Suez Canal is preparing to dock in the UK for the first time since causing disruption to global shipping.

Under original plans the 400m-long ship was due to arrive at the Port of Felixstowe in Suffolk in early April.

The 400m-long ship is now expected to finally arrive in Felixstowe today.

Now being reported that she is proceding to Hamburg next and not Dunkirk. Possibly dry dock venue changed. I did not know that a big enough dry dock existed in Dunkirk. Maybe someone knows different?
