Re: Suez Blocked
If there’s any illegal immigrants in those containers Ivan , maybe they will want to put a claim in also at the arbitration on insurance claims , maybe on missed appointments and hardship money due to their extended stay.

Re: Suez Blocked
My company has £30,000 of materials on board one of the held up ships en route to India, no news yet about when they will begin to proceed. We wont know what condition the kit will be in by the time it reaches destination. I t is temperature sensitive so its any ones guess just now. Last thing we need now is a £30k hit

#184. Keith I read the first line of that report, which said at the time she was elsewhere as first mate in command of some other vessel .I immediately shut down the report knowing straight away it would be garbage written by someone similar to the one who couldn’t tell a tanker from a container ship. The standard of journalism today a 16 year old deck boy would put them to shame. They don’t even today apologise for any untrue context. Cheers JS
Cappy she’s probably had a few as mate , that’s probably where she got the title in command. One wonders how she filled in her seatime . Can you imagine her on the Avonmoor JS

Re: Suez Blocked
Not only can they not get the type of ship right, but unless the Red sea has moved or Alexandria has moved it would seem an expensive way to ship supplies to a light house.
At the time of the Suez blockage, Ms Elselehdar was working as a first mate, in command of the Aida IV, hundreds of miles away in Alexandria.
The vessel, owned by Egypt's maritime safety authority, runs supply missions to a lighthouse in the Red Sea.
