Default World is running out of sand

South African entrepreneur shot dead in September. Two Indian villagers killed in a gun battle in August. A Mexican environmental activist murdered in June.

Though separated by thousands of miles, these killings share an unlikely cause. They are some of the latest casualties in a growing wave of violence sparked by the struggle for one of the 21st Century’s most important, but least appreciated, commodities: ordinary sand.

Interesting as it may be , i feel that with a bit of research and testing Sand from the vast Deserts can be used as good all round Concrete! Mixing it with small crushed like pebble should do the trick, as i know from Years back , we used Desert Sand from the Sahara on the Farms to build Houses with, many of those still stand as tough as ever Today!
So although we may have a shortage of normal Building sand , as said research like any other thing is needed . I am sure someone will solve this! And make a motza!! $$$$$$$$

Work it out yourselves, why it may be slightly worrying.

To begin with: the world running out of sand: Shortage could mean there won't be enough to make glass vials for COVID vaccines
Sand is used in concrete and glass, making it essential in housing and tech
There's a sand shortage, with under 1,000 sand mines in the US
That could hurt the construction industry, which uses up to 50 billion tons a year
Since 2015 there's been a global shortage of glass that's only worsening as vials are needed for vaccine rollout
Experts say demand for glass vials will rise by 2 billion over the next two years

Thanks we never stop learning , never heard my old man call a shovel that as far as can remember. I nearly finished up with him doing what you did , although he had higher wants for me , his idea of claim to fame was clerk of the works. He himself after returning after the war was general foreman for one of the well known builders , but he walked off the job after refusing to sack two men. Had high morals what they were don’t know but he apparently did . A good worker and well sought after tradesman , but not for me. Cheers JS

Hope it wasn't one of Den's desserts, it may have been a hard landing!

Pancake landing I believe. Den would of tarted it up with a bit of treacle on top. And claimed more on his shorthand money. JS
