Re #3, Ivan.....Since I started my journey through the system for treatment of my bladder cancer, the attention a certain part of my anatomy has received would have sent a young seafarer into total orbit.....Now it's a case of get it over with and lets get out of here, hate it......

Thats it Keith, I never played the nick till I finished my exams, then if we could scrape the money together it would be off to the Moulders Arms in Birtley for a couple of halfs then doss in the hay in a disused barn till it was time to get the bus home

Den, it could have been worse, he may well have been arear admaril, well suited to UCL and a few others.

John, I thought it was Canada that had the red Ensign as the national flag.

Defaced with the shield of the coat of arms of Canada.

But, The Canadian Red Ensign was the flag of Canada until 1965, when it was replaced by the current Maple Leaf flag.

Did you happen to see the ensign of Gibraltar when you were googling that info. Keith. Is that still also similar as I remember it. When I was on certain countries of the BWI they had a choice of defaced Red Ensigns or their own national flag .Have noticed on numerous occasions on seeing these vessels for advertising purposes they nearly always fly the defaced red ensign , must be good for business. Cheers JS

School, where you learned simple things like how to smoke, what to do behind the bicycle shed.

But we had a teacher, Ms Buchanan from far North Queensland, never married wonder why, but she got excellent form with all her students.
We were so frightened of her we all made sure we passed all exams.

But she taught us about Abbos and Red Roos, so she was not all bad.
