Thanks for that Vernon, have just booked one to NZ for Christmas/New Year 2021.
Almost fully booked and only been out for just over a week.

I have no fear of it returning and no fear of travelling again, I will not give in.

But as to numbers, there is the problem, they love to tell us that about 35 Mil have contracted it , out of 7.8 Bil, but do not tell us that about 28mil so far have recovered.
    Typical political style.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Last time I was in New Zealand was January 1956, always sticks with me as we arrived off Pitcairn Island on the 1st January 1956 on the 'Salinas' the first vessel in '56 to do so. We were on charter to Shaw Saville and the 'Gothic' was due later in the day and we were told to hang back until she arrived later that day, our skipper (Capt Litherland. a real gent) was having none of it and we could feel the revs rise. Still have some newspaper cuttings from Wellington who made a great thing of it.

In those days Bluff was really bluff and barren

Victoria, five time since 2010 when we were stuck in Christchurch in an earthquake.
Got some good friends there and the ship sails from Melbourne which make sit easy and all are Christmas/New Year ones.
We try to do that type every year.
