Appledore Shipyard
The Liquidator has received three bids for the mothballed shipyard, the new owners will be announced within the next week or so, after that there is a sixty day cooling off period.
News from the financial pages of DM. as usual factually incorrect.
The name and associates go back well over 100 years, the shipyard relocated to its new site in the 1960's , 1970's.
Lets hope it will be a success.

Re: Appledore Shipyard
For many generations GB ship yards were considered to be some of the worlds best.
It sure is good to see that they may start up again even in a limited form.
After EU the country will need all they can get to see them recover from the Virus.
Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.

Re: Appledore Shipyard
The yard will now be operated under the name Harland and Wolff (Appledore),
after the much larger Belfast site the same owner bought in December last year.
