tv licence fee.
What do members think of the TV LICENCE FEE for over 75s starting in August 1st.??
£157.50p A YEAR.
All the BUMS AND STIFFS in my avenue will get FREE TV
because I am on a miserable MN pension I will have to pay it.
The people next door , on Benefits, have SEVEN TVs one in each bedroom and two downstairs . will not pay one penny, me with one small tv will have to pay., The bums facing me, 19 Hungarians live there, all on Benefits will NOT have to pay.
If I do not pay, I will go to gaol, and watch TV for FREE.
How Daft is that????
If I have to pay it will be by a cheque, once a month, NOT Direct DEBIT. SO THEY WILL HAVE TO GO AND PAY IT In AT THE BANK., iF ALL oVER 75S DID THAT IT WOULD COST THEM MONEY SENDING PEOPLE TO THE BANK WITH ALL THOSE CHEQUES./

Re: tv licence fee.
You aint seen nothing yet Brian, next inline is the winter fuel allowance, and then the one that will hurt the most, the triple lock on the old age pension, plus of course the usual, petrol and road tax. Theres a rumour that they are going to fit us all with a flow meter, then we will be taxed on what we breathe, all the best KT

Re: tv licence fee.
The agreement was, that the licence fee could be raised by so much per year if they would agree to subsidising the over 75's licence.
As I see it the agreement is broken therefore any rises should be returned.

Re: tv licence fee.
Doubt if anyone will stop it,
works out at about the price
of a coffee a week out.
Best if not possible out of a
budget may be to get means
tested.
Higher taxes, I fear are on the
cards all round.

Re: tv licence fee.
People on Benefits should pay the same as everyone else.
My neighbors on Benefits all have not one, BUT three and four cars, none have ever worked.
They do not pay Council Tax.
I have to out of my small pension.
