Default Better late than never ?

I see our newspapers are finally reporting a bit of news which I hope is true. That the Morrison Government will finally take the foreign acquisitions and take over acts and seek to implement new security tests, These new tests will finally apply to infrastructure such as power gas and water, which should not even be in private hands never mind foreign hands. Should have been done years ago , or better still never have been allowed to happen This is not political , only common sense . jS

    HI John
Putting your strategic infrastructure in foreign hands is as you say crazy, fair enough that you could nationalize it in the event of a conflict, but afterwards, and there is always an afterwords is when the bills would piling in.

Not the case down here in Mexico, ,our premier Chairman Dan has signed up to the Chinese one Belt and Road concept.
The only one to do so, all parties are against such concepts.

You know how it works, |China lend you money to build a project with a ten year time frame to pay back, at the ndf of the time you are insolvent so China takes over the project for them selves.
Have a look at Sri Lanka and see how much of that they have taken by this method.

    HI John.
Our glorious leader in Canberra has just stopped anyone buying up Australia, if they do they face a fine of up to $200 million, the only time China has bought anything in Aus is during his parties reign. China just bought our milk powder plant for $one Billion. He did say that the Port of Darwin would stay in their hands for the next ninety years, of course it would, the man who instigated that was a a Minister in his Govt and is a powerful party hack on $700 thousand a year there plus perks.

Des, there is not a politician living who can truthfully tell the truth.
Both sides of parliament agree on the concept of not selling to China or any other country.
But when economics comes into the equation the rules quickly change for both parties.
It was Keating who said, 'We are apart of Asia and must come to terms with that and the fact we must trade with them in any way that will benefit the nation'.
