GTech a UK better known for it vacuum cleaners has produced a simple ventilator, which it hopes will be approved. GTech are not parenting the ventilator, it's open to anyone who wants to manufacture it.

Ineos has an existing plant in Newton Aycliffe near Darlington, they have an unused building on site in which they are installing equipment to manufacture the gel.
They will utilise ethanol from the Grangemouth refinery which was originally the BP refinery. They claim that they will be in production by the end of this week.

Good old Great Britain. When I was a kid here in OZ our Mum always checked for the "Made in England" stamp. I hope that there will be enough to export to us and we can reciprocate and begin to see a great change in manufacturing and trade away from the Junk that has built up over the past 50 years. The opportunities hover - let's grab them with both hands.

There is hope on two fronts regarding a antidote to this.
An 80 year old drug used for Arthritis is proving good at keeping the virus at bay, also some of the medication for Malaria is doing similar good job.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

The Excel London building in the Royal Victoria dock Custom House, is being converted into a temporary coronavirus hospital, the work is
being done by the MOD & NHS, it will provide 5000 beds, also they are planning ten similar sites around the country, maybe this will wake
up the denyers but don't hold your breath, cheers.

GENTLEMEN - This thread was started as it said to give ' Good News Coronavirus ' - I suggest to this end that it be used just for that and not for arguments, innuendo and off topic doom laden posts. ( K @ T please note once again ) I have therefore deleted those posts that apply to anything other than good news on the Coronavirus front as this Thread was intended for. No more fights gentlemen if you do want to argue I suggest that you do it by E Mail or PM between yourselves. Times are bad as it is without petty spats blocking up the site.

PS I will have no hesitation in deleting posts on any Thread where they cause offence, are argumentative or designed to cause trouble.
