Good news coronavirus
Ineos the giant chemical plant is to build a factory in ten days, the plant when completed will produce 1m bottles of hand sanitizer a month.
The plant all be near Middlesbrough.
Ineos will supply sanitizers free to hospitals
GTech a UK better known for it vacuum cleaners has produced a simple ventilator, which it hopes will be approved. GTech are not parenting the ventilator, it's open to anyone who wants to manufacture it.
Other companies are switching production to manufacture face masks.
Some good news for a change.

Re: Good news coronavirus
Ineos has an existing plant in Newton Aycliffe near Darlington, they have an unused building on site in which they are installing equipment to manufacture the gel.
They will utilise ethanol from the Grangemouth refinery which was originally the BP refinery. They claim that they will be in production by the end of this week.

Re: Good news coronavirus
Good old Great Britain. When I was a kid here in OZ our Mum always checked for the "Made in England" stamp. I hope that there will be enough to export to us and we can reciprocate and begin to see a great change in manufacturing and trade away from the Junk that has built up over the past 50 years. The opportunities hover - let's grab them with both hands.

Re: Good news coronavirus
There is hope on two fronts regarding a antidote to this.
An 80 year old drug used for Arthritis is proving good at keeping the virus at bay, also some of the medication for Malaria is doing similar good job.
Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.
