Chris, i posted the same yesterday, under the post heading ss Mendi. There is a slightly deeper part to the story , the reporter from the local TV channel had been trying to trace the bell for some considerable years, he had a particular interest in it. It appeared that some years ago divers had taken it from the wreck, eventually last year he received an anonymous parcel which turned out to be the long lost bell, and has now been taken back to Capetown, kt
