#37 It happens to about every thread how ever that is the nature of this type of forum, I personally do not have a problem with that. What I cannot stand is the back biting and petty squabbles that certain people seem to carry on with. I got a lot of useful info from this forum but think I will give it a miss from now on.

Someone mentioned this pub great memories,
Across the road from the famous Albert Dock, this nautical-themed pub was originally two pubs in one - the 1853 'Turners Vaults', which faced Hurst Street, served the locals while the Baltic Fleet was built in 1856 to serve the dockers on the other side.

The pub used to have many doors to allow patrons to escape quickly should press gangs make an appearance.

Although it's snug and inviting inside, its exterior is equally beautiful with its unusual 'flat iron' shape and tall windows which have become a recognisable feature on Liverpool's dock road.

Terry I was in there about 2 years ago for a few a beer or two . I certainly preferred my time with you & Jim when we met up in the Globe, better beer and better company.

The feeling is mutual Lew, i remember that afternoon session very well and a good yarn had by me you and the late Jim Brady, The Globe was awarded best real ale award back in 2017 in Liverpool. Best Regards Lew Terry.

Hi JP With respect and i do know what you are on about
As said though Threads go off track on many occasions, and as hard as i have tried to keep them on track it has been very difficult.
So i do still watch all posts (well as many as possible) and try and curb that type of thing!
So come back mate and just fly past the posts you dont want to read
I will also now Edit this Thread as there are far too many replies with way off Topic!
    Cheers

Thread now quite heavily Edited !!!
