Crossed the Bay of Biscay many times more often than not we had decent weather. What you got was what was happening in the Atlantic if the Atlantic was calm so was the Bay. But when it gets lumpy might as well kip on the deck of your cabin not a comfortable place to be.

    For David Galloway

From reading your Profile David i see you were in the Seamans Mission Southampton, i recall that place so well, as it was the only place when on the 2 Week leave that me and my late Brother stayed at!
It wasnt that bad a place, at least there was a Snooker Hall , be it a bit small, but the Food was OK.
Only thing that got me was in Winter where the Sheets were cold as ice! But once cuddled up, and the Blankets over all was good!
Remember too that lovely downstairs Coffee Bar, the Checkpoint spent many many happy hours there with some nice Chicks! LOL
Actually got caught out once with me sitting there with one Girl, and another i was dating at the same time walked down the stairs! Oh Boy!!

Good old times they were! As was the old Juniper Berry (Still going) Oh the days !
    Cheers

I see that the Bay of Biscay has caused problems again, this is one of Sagas pigeon coops, and can just imagine all the wheel chairs and walking frames flying about, must have looked like pensioners Derby.

Isn't she the old HAL 'Rotterdam' doesn't look like there's much room for walking in the open air, I wonder how many cruise passengers (without balconies) actually go on deck to get a breath of fresh air!
