My Memories of Lou
I am posting this here as it seems appropriate for this Section!
Its not really any experience of my Merchant Navy Days but is connected in a big way!
It is all about the knowing and meeting of Lou,he was to me a very special person and we had many Emails between us ,and at last one day earlier this Year we finally met in Person, what a great day that was for me! I was estatic to say the least!
He will always be in my thoughts and prayers as well as Irene's.
Never to be forgotten Lou,you were a special Person! RIP my dearest Friend!
Vernon and Irene
In Reflection a short Video kindly sent to us by Brenda his Daughter.
Spoke to her Yesterday ,what a lovely Lady! Thank you so much Brenda!

Re: My Memories of Lou
What a lovely video of photos Vernon.
One to keep.
I was with Brenda and Lou with his lovely wife Peggy in 2012 in Dunedin and again in Liverpool two years ago.
Good memories.
Thanks
Brian

Re: My Memories of Lou
Thank you for that Vernon.
It is so well done.
Congratulations.
Never had the pleasure of meeting Lou, but from what I gather from others who did.
He was a very special man.

Re: My Memories of Lou
Indeed Den
He was one special Person, not too many around like him these days I can honestly say!
Mind you I have not yet met you !? In that class I would say mate! As are a few others here on site that I have had the pleasure of meeting!
Possibly somewhere in the future I will get to meet even more like Lou!
Cheers
I will be hopefully putting a Link on for another Video of Remembrance but as its quite long wont upload it here ,just the Link!
It may take some time though !
Watch this space!

Re: My Memories of Lou
We must never forget men such as Lou and we should all do as much as we possibly can to ensure that his name, and the name of so many others such as he are never forgotten. The generation of today owe men such as Lou a great deal, beginning with their freedom.
Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.
