was home on leave 1962, met future wife in milk bar Sunderland? after the three O'cock last orders in the pubs. Still together now will have our golden wedding on the 26/12/14. Oooh happy day's.

#21... Got married that year Ray, to a Gateshead girl, at least think I got married she said we did. We didnt have much not like what newly weds have now. Still think it better to work for it and not expect handouts mainly from family, always told our kids to stand on their own two feet. Wouldnt dare argue with the son now though, just been to Japan last week to get his 5th or 6 th dan in one of these martial arts sciences, he also teaches it, think it only goes up to 8th. Dan. In the notaire's office in Chalabre 18 months ago. He told me I'd have to pay 60% inheritance tax. I was up the road like a shot to the Mairie and married April 5th 2013. Sorted ... tax now 0%. We were engaged for 35 years.
