Would we do it all again, certainly if it was to be a replica of the time, men and ships we sailed with, hard work, hard play and ports yet undiscovered. Sailing on today's vessels holds no appeal to me, but then again I have never sailed on them, but' elf n safti' would drive me mad, climbing the mainmast in a storm to renew a navigation light, with nothing but your own hands and legs to hang on with gave a sense of achievement, no safety harnesses, lifelines, hard hats, safety goggles etc to hinder you. Hard hat not much use if you hit the deck from 60/70 feet above deck level, mind you would make sweeping up easier for your shipmates.

Agree Ivan, the ships of today are nothing compared with the ones of our day.
All now computerized and so few crew there is no time or place for a chat on number five hatch.
Added to that there is no Vindi now either, so no chance of any recall.
