Re: Dubliners and Pogues
We always go to see the Irish dancers when they’re on tour and dance at the local theatre.
A couple of years ago however we were sitting in the front row and the lead male dancer came off stage and sat on my knee and the spot light picked us up. Wouldn’t have minded if had been one of the females . Now when go to see always book at least 3 rows back or upstairs in the circle. JS

good morning, brings to mind the rampant march by the goverments all around the world whom are trying to bring in draconian powers to stop free speech, the irish goverment are in the lead at the moment with laws to ban anybody speaking out about the elephant in the room and the murder of innocent irish children and women,
the saying ( theres none so blind as those whom will not see ) comes to mind and so easily fits for those whom wish to shut down the choice of free speech,

Re: Dubliners and Pogues
Recall being on 6 week residential course at Moreton in Marsh Gloucestershire, and the local pub had an Irish band 3 nights a week, real foot stamping , and much drinking, getting through the next day was painfull, but lovely evenings with mates.

'Tis diabolical Tom not one recent news report from the media involved has been aired on the condition of the child who is gravely ill. I daren't post what I have heard on the grave vine but if true.... don't be surprised on further riots especially if the resignation of Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar an Garda Commissioner Drew Harris is not forth coming.
There is an update though on the man responsible, Garda have not yet been able to interview the ''suspect'' Apparently he is in an enforced coma, rumour has it due to the beatings he received after the attacks. The silence is deafening from those at the top and no guesses needed for that!

hi marian #8
good evening, i agree totally there has been a complete blackout about the poor child, but sadly i heard last night that the reason why the blackout is that she is clinically dead, and according to the imformation given from the temple street childrens hospital by a insider they are keeping her on life support so as to try and
calm things down, but like you have wrote the streets will go up again when it is seen by the people that nothing is going to change.
as for the scum bag whom carried out the attack, he will never live to enjoy life, for after all where are they going to hide him ?

Re: Dubliners and Pogues
Tom just found this - this evening, what is rather odd is that there are no English subtitles! There was a video but has sincedisappeared....
Mum of girl stabbed in Parnell Square attack says daughter has 'shown incredible strength' - Irish Mirror Online
Also from the Teacher's aspect:Hero school worker who put life on the line to save kids out of intensive care - Dublin Live
And finally from the men who intervened. The Irishman Warren Donohoe apparently has been told to keep shtum due to any future Court Case yet the othen men can speak freely! Three heroes who risked their lives to tackle Parnell Square knifeman - Dublin Live
Excuse my Freudian slip in my #8 it should of course read ''grape'' vine.
