Re: Birthday song...............
Thanks Ken and all hands for your kind Birthday wishes.
I have been thinking of all the Death defying accidents I have had over all those years,
I have done a world tour of Hospitals. due to accidents.
Curacao, W.I. Lagos , Port Harcourt in Nigeria, East London South Africa after my mate was drowned and I was rescued. Cape Town after the helicopter crash in the Southern Ocean, Patras, Greece, Port Said, and Hurghada in Egypt, Al Khobar in Saudi, Penang , in Malaya, Singapore, Sydney, Honolulu in Hawaii and eight hospitals in the UK.
So it makes me wonder why I have been saved, when so many died in all that time.
So thankful.

Re: Birthday song...............
It does seem some people are luckier than others Brian, a few years ago in this area two young lads were down by the creek, they
had been fishing and were on their way home when a thunderstorm started, one of the lads was wearing a St Christopher, he was
struck by lightning and died instantly, poor kid was only sixteen and just starting out in life, his mate was unharmed, how unlucky
can you get?.
Re: Birthday song...............
Yes that is really sad, John, and so young as well. but that is an accident[?] that cannot be avoided.
It is difficult to understand why, one and not the other or both or none at all.
I guess some call it Fate, so what is that ?? still doesn't make it any easier for who is left.
Maybe it is just pure Luck, or lack of it. who knows,
Cheers

Re: Birthday song...............
Yes it was a tragic death Brian, it was after reading your post that it struck me that there are so many examples of death and survival with
accidents and illness, maybe "There but for the grace of God go I" as you say Who knows, can only say I hope your good fortune stays with
you for many years to come, cheers
Re: Birthday song...............
I used to say, "If it wasn't for the bad luck, I would have no luck at all".
I wonder if that is the answer.?

Re: Birthday song...............
Brian Old Mate, Belated birthday greetings. Just got to this thread and couldn't help myself - like the tele advert where this blue heeler cattle dog was chasing behind the ute, jumped in anticipation of landing on the tray and missed - B**GER!!.
With all best wishes for this birth-year and beyond.
