'Hey you guys' Am I the only one singing along...... well apart from Braid's Like Roger I recognised after listening, more a sit down and 'appreciate, appreciate' as Billy Connolly's music teacher advised him to do

Mine was "Rebel Rouser" by Duane Eddy.

Nowadays I love "Clocks" & "Yellow" by Coldplay.

Also "not nineteen forever" by the Courteeners.

'Besame Mucho', not my first record but my all time favourite currently sung by Andre Bottecelli who sings it at a pace where you can dance either a rhumba or a tango, or mix the two as we do. It was also sung by the Beatles at every concert they performed but sung at a pace no good for dancing. It's literal translation is smother me in your kisses and was written by a 15 year old mexican girl in 1937 who had never been kissed, the words both in English and Spanish are lovely.

My mother was an opera fan (she also had a good singing voice) so the song that always stuck with me as a child was the aria 'Your tiny hand is frozen' from La Boheme

But I think at sea it was probably Buddy Holly and his contemparies to which we still rock and roll to this day
