Re: Just Wondering Rob.P, Cappy & John.S
#20, Thank you John, For the added social history. I've been looking through Newcastle Library Archives and have found Vine street circa 1935.Trying to locate Prudhoe St without the Mission Hall as that was 1910 and she left Newcastle 1900. Lots of sites open..... so hopefully. Should imagine my next jolly will be down to view and photograph the streets myself. You nearly had me "greetin" when I read of your wife's Gt, Grandfather ending up in the Poorhouse. He must have been a Master Craftsman as the ornate work in these buildings is exquisite I'm always in awe when I view them. Thanks again for your help I owe you a drink or two
