I was at one and as the curtains closed at the crem the music that came on was Johnny Cash singing Ring Of Fire.Imagine the words to that "I fell in to that burning ring of fire"

went to a funeral of old mn guy his best mate had a red ensignput on the coffin all hands looking suitably sad his best mate was an old chief steward after the service was ended the coffin started to move aaway through the curtain,,,,the old chief steward muttered effin hell leaped up and just managed to grab the corner of the ensign and tug it back could hardly keep my laugh in it was a standing joke......once you had been on a baron boat you wasted nowt 0ld habits die hard

Been to three funerals this year and not one tune between them.
I am thinking of maybe Sailing by Rod Stewart along with the sailors hymn.
Or of course for the mother in law, 'Yackety yack dont talk back'

My mate was a country and western singer and as the curtains closed, they plaed Jim Reeves "Adious Amigos", very appropiate, then someones mobile phone started ringing.
Good send off tho`, he had his cowboy hat and his dude boots on top of his coffin.
My other mate from school days was in a Barbers Shop Choir. he had the Barbers Shop Quartet singing throughout the funeral and then as we came out of the Chapel a Jazz Band was playing.
