I think Perth has always been prone to violent weather episodes. Not long after we emigrated from UK I was driving back from Kwinana having dropped my husband off at work, when I got caught in a monster storm. I was driving a trusty VW which almost became airborne.
Windscreen was the first to go, completely surgically removed, wipers valiantly keep going flapping about in free air.
Obviously I quickly became drenched put ploughed on to my workplace at Rivervale.
Got out of the car and walked into the reception area, cheerily said hi all to have most of the waiting room stare at me.
Unbeknown to me the last pieces of the windscreen glass had liberally cut up my face so I came in with a real "bloody" face, no wonder my first patients looked on in shock.

Vernon, that is all very nice to view, but do me a favor mate, keep it up there.
We get enough of the rough stuff down here without any more.
When the rain hits our kitchen window I know it is from the East and straight from your neck of the woods.
Added to which it is always the worst rain we get.

We had deep fog this morning, would you like some, sure we could organize to get it to you up in the mountains.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
