Re: Sea Ice
There is the call that greenhouse gases Co2 and Methane are one of the major problems.
In 1980 the global population was around 4 billion, it is now close to 8.
There has also been a similar percentage growth in live stock.
All mammals exhale Co2, all animal and vegetable matter that decomposes gives off Methane.
It has been noted by a number of person who do magnetic compass adjustments that the earth has moved almost 0.75 degrees off normal.
The earth wobbles as it rotates giving this variation.
Such variations effects the sun light reaching parts of the globe. But again why destroy a good story with the truth?

#11. Those are the people with the most probable answers John. Practical people who know what they are talking about. Saying that however I watched a quiz show featuring a bunch of mariners and were asked what length of time was a Sidereal day. None of them knew, so must have been the start of the fall in standards. As thought every Mariner who used a sextant knew it was 23 hours 56 minutes and 27 seconds. Don’t think all these so called smart boffins know it all, they are good at fooling people. That Australian climate change boffin has everyone fooled even himself by his self made science. Nelson would have known what a sidereal day was, Today the adage is in most walks of life is if you don’t use it then don’t teach it, the easy way out, as the likes of our own history is being systematically blotted out, or changed to suit. Not to worry about, if people want to belief in climate change and the causes of , let them, everyone’s free to believe what they want. Cheers JWS.

1. Leaving this aside as I am not too familiar with the farting habits of mammals and such.
2. The 'nutation' (wobbling) of the has nothing to do with magnetic compass adjustments. Do not confuse Variation which does vary geographically and annually. Further, in your final sentence 'Such variations effects the sun light reaching parts of the globe'. This is incorrect as even if you use the 0.75 degrees this wobble will render nothing more than +/- a few miles. Of no consequence. To quote the witty Dean Swift 'A Flea on a Fleas back'

Re: Sea Ice
Beside particulate (ash and other particles), volcanoes can release enormous quantities of gases, including the following pollutants:
H2O water vapor
CO2 carbon dioxide
SO2 sulfur dioxide
H2S hydrogen sulfide
CO carbon monoxide
HCl hydrogen chloride
HF hydrogen flouride
Even non-explosive basaltic volcanoes (Hawaii, Iceland) can release damaging quantities of pollutants in the form of "vogā", or volcanic smog. The Hawaii volcano observatory has recently issued warnings for sulfur dioxide emissions and restricted access to areas around Kilauea. The 1783 Icelandic basalt eruption resulted in emission of over 100 tons of SO2 in less than 8 months- killing humans, livestock and damaging crops in both Iceland and Europe. Gas emissions during the eruption of the Siberian traps may have caused the great Permian extinction 250 million years ago. Volcanic SO2 emissions can range up to 10 million tonnes per day.

Re: Sea Ice
the answer is nuclear , 0 dischrge of carbons , if we stopped chopping forests down the trees regenerate carbon dioxide to oygen and wood

Re: Sea Ice
In December 1958, myself and the rest of the crew of the MV Dundee got frozen into the second last lock of the Lachine canal in Montreal, panicking, as we were heading back to the U.K. after 10 wonderful months working on the Great Lakes and Newfoundland, we did not want to winter in Montreal, it was not the friendliest of cities in those days of Quebec Libre, lots of “me no parles vous English”
from the locals, we broke free after two days, and finally reached Liverpool on 30 December to find Liverpool was closed due to fog, our crew were all east coast Scots wanting to get home for Hogmanay, sadly we were at anchor for that special evening, but paid off on the first of January and headed home to a belated Hogmanay

Jim, if you care to read my post again you will see that I did not say the 0.75 degree had anything to do with compass. Just noting that here has been such a movement.
