Re: Steering Mistake.
Talking about steering? How many who did watch keeping used to make sure that they wore a cap when relieving on the wheel on certain ship that for some reason they decided to install a clock right in front of one. First step into the wheel house. Take the cap of and cover up the clock. Otherwise the shift went forever. Being on the wheel and the relief was late relieving one. Would keep ears open listening for him coming up the ladder and then swinging the wheel hard over. Then once the ship responded would swing it hard over the other way to correct it. Leaving you relief something to do correcting it lol. Rule always was? At least five minutes early to relieve.
That's the way the mop flops.
