Re: That Ferry Again
Ferguson's have lost out in their bid to build a number of small electric ferries for inter island use, along with upgrades to facilities to accommodate them, to a polish outfit.

Re: That Ferry Again
Russell Findlay, leader of the Scottish Tories, said the decision to send business overseas rather than support the struggling state-owned shipyard was a “hammer blow” for employees and a result of SNP “incompetence”.
A bit ironic that a poli from the crowd that effectively put the manufacturing industry to the sword.

Re: That Ferry Again
It's well known James about Ferguson problems, what's not broadcast and probably ignored, is that Ferguson completed on time and on budget two fishery farm support vessels.
Fergusons have also complted on time and budget works for BAE Systems and are due to start the next tranche of work shortly.
Vic
Ps I also forgot to state Ferguson successfully completed, tested, dismantled and shipped a hoover barge to Sibera.
There bread and butter works are good built on time profitable.
Two ferries that have tarnished their name, to many fingers in the pie with no one accepting responsibility for failure.
