Re: Am I right or wrong
Well as the pontiffs of past present and future have always asserted sexual acts are for procreation and not recreation. However they fail to make their own past public where they were allowed to keep concubines and pretend they werent married but in actual fact it was the same thing. When the statement came out about no sex please we are the ruling body, maybe some true Catholic could remind us all. Besides not getting involved in politics , religion is just as bad and people will believe what they want to believe and just go about their way regardless. I will say however that Christianity as we know it evolved from the Old
Testament the same as Judaism. JS

Re: Am I right or wrong
That is the problem of today , that is too many humans and to advocate having more indiscrimanently is abuse of rhetoric. To many women having babies is beyond the pale after going through childbirth a couple of times and she should have the final say in the matter. She is the one who has the burden to carry for 8 months, and the burden in future years of rearing the same. Maybe today the changed law of same sex marriages maybe line up with other beliefs of the same beliefs of the unmentionable asterisks “ that man born of man will live forever” let’s hope they don’t suffer from constipation. But then take a look at some of the other mid east and some other less well off nations.
They have the kids, there is not enough food or water, the poor kid dies so they have another one.
So the cycle is continued and very little differs over time.
Then you get 800 illegals crossing the channel into Uk at the weekend, with about 12 or so not making it.
No worries mate we will find some more for you!!!!

Happy daze John in Oz.

Well the Catholic church could have been so different if the first translator hadn't got it wrong by leaving out one small letter 'r'
Instead of celibate it should have read celibrate

Re: Am I right or wrong
Well Ivan, Des says he is busy on a Sunday , I have a suspicious mind and maybe he goes to the confessional . Maybe if so he may have a word with the Good Father and maybe the r could be replaced. They tell me a lot of the pubs in UK are closing due to lack of business so that little r may do some good. Cheers JS

Well all good or bad things have to end for the good of the majority so they will just have to hand back to save face. And it will be celebrations all round. Cheers JS

Re: Am I right or wrong
Hi John.
I'm afraid that Sunday is sacrosanct for me, I have the bathroom and toilet to clean, then the vacuuming to perform, plus I am the house dish washer, I do get a break in the afternoon to read the Sunday paper for what it's worth, I love it, takes m back to being a first trip deck boy LoL.
Des
Ps. I forgot I slip down to the shops if we are short of anything.

Re: Am I right or wrong
#39 your lucky I’m chief cook and bottle washer every day , the wife’s hands are that useless with the arthritis, peeling spuds and trying to remember different menus , seeing that tablets are taken etc etc. think I missed my vocation in life. Silver chain once a fortnight does the housework apart from me clearing up the mess I make in between. They even change the bedding and are very good. Have found I always peel too many spuds as only two of us and not fourty odd. Shopping is only once a week so have to be on the button so don’t run short. Just busy cooking lunch now , have to start early as still getting used to the timing of different articles. Happy cooking one can do anything if turn your hand to. Cheers JS
