Re: Am I right or wrong
Exactly.
The UN is a toothless tiger, whose policies are dictated by many nations who have little or no regard to the West and their culture. They spew nothing but hatred and vote accordingly.
(What was the UN's response to the 9/11 attacks? Meaningless, hand wringing platitudes....as is their wont. Very little news too ,on the anniversary of those attacks, just two days ago.....Very little. Shameful MSM as per usual.)
And just where are the neighboring states that "VOCALLY" support Gaza & the Palestinians? Where is their humanity? Why are they not welcoming the refugees from Gaza? Who stopped the aid convoys at the southern border?
Whilst I too agree that the response from the IDF has been heavy handed and should now be halted..... Let us remind ourselves that it is never wise to poke a sleeping tiger. Israel has always REACTED to attacks....and will always do so.
And as others have noted: The UN CLAIMS to denounce terrorists....yet they do very little to dissuade their activities.
And what are the attacks on neutral shipping supposed to achieve? It is never going to resolve the Middle East problems...... It is nothing but wanton vandalism & hatred of anything remotely connected with the West.
What will the sinking of a tanker in coastal waters achieve? Nothing but hardship for the local people they claim to be acting on behalf of.
Many of the demonstrations around the world by so-called "Pro-Palestinian groups" are nothing of the sort... They are, quite simply, Anti-Jewish..... They are jumping on the bandwagon of opportunity to display their racial/ethnic hatred of another group.
Yet we in the West...deplore racial hatred and incitement to violence against minorities...don't we? Is that not what we are supposed to abhor?
Yet these groups get a slap on the wrists for their violent, disruptive vandalism..... and anyone, (such as I), is slapped in jail for even mentioning their hypocrisy. Even the Prime Minister of the UK calls me a "Right Wing Thug".... For my THOUGHTS.
(p.s....Who is building a seaport so that aid can get into Gaza, thus by-passing frontiers with neighbouring so-called "allies of Gaza/Palestinians".....Have a guess........ The USA: Very quietly getting on with the job the UN is supposed to do.)

Re: Am I right or wrong
Trouble is organisations like or BBC are so biased and one sided, that they very seldom show the rockets which are being fired on daily basis from Palestine and Southern Lebanon into Israel.

Re: Am I right or wrong
Perhaps if the Israeli state had not kept on pushing the Palestinian people out of their own villages so as to build Israeli settlements the problem would not be as it is today.
Like it or not Israel is an expansionist state , that is one of the reasons the area is in the mess it is in today. That and the fact they have a PM needs this war for his own political survival and to stop him going to jail.
Not sure what news channels have not shown the rocket attacks by Hamas but the ones I watch certainly do.They also show the bombings and death and destruction brought upon the Palestinian people who are the victims of these so called precision attacks.
Some need to take off the blinkers and actually remove their biased approach to this conflict.

Following the Nazi example, kill all the people and take over their land.

Re: Am I right or wrong
Every person ,man woman and child, and every animal in Gaza Must have been fully aware of the systematic and near enough daily attacks on Israel . And most applauded the act , so innocence is a very strong word to use , they were at least not innocent in abetting these acts by their silence. There will no doubt have been a few who assisted Israel intelligence in their knowledge of where the scum had dug themselves in and they should be thanked in any future armistice . JS

John
I wouldn't support Hamas in a fit, but when an invading army keep telling families to go to a certain area where the women and children will be safe and then they blow them up whether there are Hamas hiding there or not, it reminds me of when the Nazis took a large group of Polish and Jewish women and children into this forest telling them they would be safe from Allied bombing, then shot them all.

Re: Am I right or wrong
Probably because their targets are hiding behind women’s skirts .The Argentinis did the same thing during the Falklands war by siting their heavy artillery in peoples back yards. Would probably find in ww 2 the civilian casualitys far exceeded the armed forces , the same as the MN percentage wise they exceeded armed forces personnel. JS

Re: Am I right or wrong
Although there has always been problems in that region it was made worse in 1948 with the birth of the state of Israel.
The problem has progressed due to the expansion policy of Israel, they continue to take land from others and do not care what the world may say about it.
This PM, Notayahoo is possibly the worst but there have been good such as Golda Maier.
The current problem will only be resolved when he goes or the forces of other close nations in together in a concerted effort to remove him.

Re: Am I right or wrong
It is estimated there are about 18 million Jews dispersed around the earth.
The Jews trace their ancestry back to Abraham in the Southern Israelite Kingdom of Judah. Apart from Hinduism Jewry is considered the oldest religion in the world. JS

Re: Am I right or wrong
Hi John.
That to my mind is the problem, religion, The Pop's latest message to women have more babies shows he has never tried in this modern world to bring up a family. All people can trace their ancestry back as far as anyone else. {Look at Rods efforts and he only went back a short way} but we are all supposed to have come from Adam and Eve. It was only that some traveled to different places that we got Countries and different languages, and it is only a slip in life that got us where we are today, Any of us could have been born anywhere Like Palestine, Ukraine, Haiti for example. Aslip of the skirt, or a roll in the hay.
