I think we can all agree that the ship in the photo is an Ameer class escort carrier purpose built based on a C3 hull. You can't be sure exactly because there is really no name or pennant number on the hull but given the information you supplied in your first posting where you named some of your fathers ships including some service on T124X agreements and HMS SHAH then I would suggest that you are correct in your assumption. When I first looked at the photo I neglected to actually check your first post again. On looking at the ship and checking your list it was obvious it was probably HMS SHAH.

The basic hull is a US Built C3. Possibly HMS Attacker or similar!
I remember in Japan in the 1950s watching an American carrier coming alogside. Forget which port , but had all her propellor driven aircraft lined up on deck and used them as a giant thruster for putting her alongside .It was very impressive probably someone had a brainwave and was the first of the bow thruster idea for merchant ships .
