The idea that greens are lefties or luvvies is ludicrous . Many desperate critics today try to make a class issue of it and reference the working man or the 'hard done by motorist' as victims of a green elite who presumably all live around Hyde PArk. The first to be impacted by climate changes that wreaks havoc are the poorest so it is ironic to present them as those with most to lose from Green initiatives in a general sense. Some contemporary issues like London's ULEZ will impact the poorest most but the picture is different.

I would have considered myself a little right of centre once but joined the Green PArty because it is the only one prioritising environment above other things. The question for me is very simple. Can we go on expanding our population and increasing our consumption in a world of finite resources? Infinite consumption v finite resources - no can do. It doesn't get any simpler than that. Telling the Green brigage to go and whistle is about as sensible as telling logic or reality to go and whistle.

By the way the UK's emissions are not as low as might be thought as we have simply off-shored much of our CO2/industry to China so the things we need have to be shipped half way round the world. Good for shipping though I have to admit.

    n 2018 I watched the sea BOILING
it was off the shore of HAWAII where the lava from the volcano hardly ever stops flowing.
It was the BIG Island not Oahu where Honolulu is.
That heat from the boiling sea must go somewhere, including heat from many other under water volcanos.
have you got any GOOD Ideas how to stop the sea from heating up?
    cheers
    Brian

Let us know your flight numbers to Beijing and Mumbai and we'll follow your progress in getting your message across.

The whole post reminds me of those who have given up smoking and then preach to all and sundry about the dirty habit.

#83 There has and is more natural emissions from the seabed of oil and gas than there ever has been by spillages Brian. Did anyone see any figures put out in 1988 of the losses of such in the North Sea in July 1988. ? I never did although must say wasn’t particularly looking for. JS.
As to stopping the sea heating up how about chucking the ice cubes out of your martini overboard on your next voyage, do it in the Indian Ocean and will start going for a paddle daily so will know when you are coming by the message my feet get . Cheers JS
