Charlie Ross from Liverpool Update

I recently posted a thread about my Granddad Charlie Ross Whi knew had been a Bosun on the Baxtergate.
Just a quick note to mention that I have recently found out that Charlie was a crew member or passenger on

the MS Dunera (17 Feb 1949)
the Domingo de Larrinaga (11 Dec 1953)

Any help again would be great

Am I right in assuming the Dunera carried a load of Jewish refugees to the staes but the gov would not allow them ashore?

hi john. there was a film made of the dunera with bob hoskins. it was about jews living in london in the second world war. they were classed as aliens and shipped out to oz to an internment camp. great film, true story alf
