Nice article in the gazette today about the history of this famous shipyard, now no longer in existence and all traces of it gone, only the office building exists as it's listed. Used to a an occasional drink in the commercial opposite, again that's been demolished.

They built a lot of the Strick line ships, always looks nice and there always seemed to be a Strick line vessel alongside every time I passed.
Scroll forward to 09 when it was in hands of McNulty Offshore, the company I worked for was supplying kit for a BP job in Shetland and the BP project manager in Falkirk asked me for regular reports on progress. It didnt go down well with the McNulty project manager who barred me from the yard for "spying " for BP.
