    Hi John,
This looks very much like a Royal Navy service record transcription. P&V ledgers are also RN documents.
HMCS HOCHELAGA II was a Royal Canadian Navy shore accounting base - HMCS HOCHELAGA* - For Posterity's Sake
STO is an abbreviation for Sea Transport Officer.

Are you able to add the document or part of for context please?
I suspect probably RN DEMS gunner.

    Regards
    Hugh

You are right I paid my £30 and filled out the forms on line as dads paper work only told us shore bases for his duty. The information sent back was good and thanks to national archives have found out from free downloads ships captains places and voyages with dates that match the report sent. You are right it is extracted from payment and victuals ledgers and put in a table. So How do I add a image to you

    Hi John
You just have to save the Image from your Phone to your Computer , send it via Bluetooth.
Once that is done just upload as a normal Picture, but remember to resize it to the site Limit, otherwise it will be rejected

    Hi John,
[sic] after HOSHELAGA II simply means that it was transcribed from the record exactly as you see it with an error or unconventianal spelling. In layman's terms it means that the spelling mistake in the name has been retained in the transcription
i.e. written as HOSHELAGA II but should be HOCHELAGA II.

I was hoping you could copy the entry for GARRICK for me?

The senior survivor of a sunken ship usually made a Survivor's Report to the Admiralty Trade Division. There is one for WAROONGA held at Kew in ADM 199/2145 Page 16. I have many Survivor's Reports but unfortunately not this one.

    Regards
    Hugh
