    I was four years old when I was at the farm Will, I accepted many years ago that locating the farm is a "Needle in a Haystack" situation and as always, life moves on. When we were
    rehoused at Friern Barnet, we were still there when VE day was celebrated, I can remember it very well, there was a huge street party but no food or tables, a piano was carried out from a house and put in the road, a bonfire was lit and every kid got a present, mine was a black and easel, two effigies were hung from a lamp post , maybe it was Hitler and Mussolini?, and there was much singing and dancing, maybe thats what they called the "Bulldog Spirit."
    We were eventually returned to our old house in Wood Green which had been repaired from the bomb damage I was nearly seven when I next met my Dad after he was demobbed. Cheers, John.
