    On dads discharge book it as RA Spain

    Please explain RA ?
    I think its loading up and make your way home...good pay?
    Basically you don't do the other leg to Spain?

    Would he have loaded cargo?

    Engaged at Liverpool 20 5 49
    Discharge London 21 6 49

    Be great to get proper explanation of RA?

    Hi Robert, RA is running agreement, so if he was running down to Spain for eg, taking a few weeks at a time, on return to UK, they would not have to sign a new agreement, it was usual to renew the agreement after 6 months. I did that run to Spain for several months at a time, usually for fruit or wine etc. kt

    you can sign off at any time during that 6 months, most trips taking no more than 5-6weeks

    Further to the above, the Palomares was a McAndrews vessel, and i served on two of that company as i explained, so these were known as fruit boats, most of MacAndrews vessels were named after famous Spaniards, painters artists etc.kt
