Default Captain and chief mate plead guilty

The captain and chief mate of the bulk carrier that ran aground in Mauritius have pleaded guilty over the vessels grounding, apparently the vessels course was altered to sail closer to the island in order to obtain a phone signal.

    Hi John A.
Such a stupid mistake, ruined a lovely part of the world, not intentional but all for a phone call makes you think.

He could have used semaphore, or maybe a carrier Pigeon.

Or thrown the apprentice overboard to carry it ashore. wouldn't use the deck boy as they would have had to pay him swim money.

No Des, the deck boy may be needed for other activities if it was a Greek ship.
