Not the same Year as you but my late Brother was on the British Navigator as well.
Not many that had served on her! Think at the time she was the Largest of the Fleet that was Built ? But not too sure!

I Just found another anomaly, big words coming out now LoL I was on the British Scout for six months, she was coasting, Ireland, Scotland, England, with trips to Europe mixed in, only Fgn on that one.

I was in the Scouts for a short time, did the Cubs bit first but found there was more to enjoy.
Bob a job week was not for me, I wanted two bob.

RA was mostly used as Running Agreement on Ferries where you worked short periods on and off.
This could be a year or so working on the same ferry.
You only signed off if you went to another ship or change of articles.

Yes RA used as Running Agreement . Used when trading around coasts like home trade.
