I used to watch that ship 40 odd years ago , and she was no youngster then go sailing past us tied up at Custom House Quay and disappear towards the Tail of the Bank or up the Clyde going the other way . Fourty odd years doesn’t sound long if you say it quickly. No doubt some aspiring young marine engineers not even born then will be seeking those jobs . Best of luck to them. It’s one of the few ways of setting foot on the deck of a ship today and get home for teatime. Cheers JS
