We've had a lovely two weeks of sunshine here in Essex, but today I've had three alerts from the Met Office to say we will have
Thunderstorms & rain from tomorrow afternoon through to Thursday night, then again on Friday evening, they've been known to
get it wrong before, so fingers crossed it won't cause damage or any fatalities, cheers.

Quite correct Vic, the best whisky in the world comes from Tasmania and does not have a 'e'.

#8. Cappys Japanese whiskey in those years would have been Tory’s or Suntory and just making an appearance on the market. Like most good things it improved with age.And today is considered by most whiskey drinkers a good drop. JS.

Going back to the thread, John, many people do not believe me when I tell them that the Pacific ocean does not touch Australian shores, it's the sea you forgot The Coral Sea that hits the East coast. Many years ago I was told this by a ferry skipper up the East Coast. It is 4,791 million KM
1,849,800 square miles

Canada has I believe the largest coast line of any country, but it get a bit too cold up the top to go and find out.
Lot of talk just now about the climate situation with a very interesting article about a green house gas never spoken of, Nitrous Oxide, often reffered to as laughing gas.
But it all depends on how you listen to and how you translate it.
All the talk about electric vehicles, yet Land Rover have developed a Hydrogen vehicle with an engine that will in a very short time become the way of the future. Electric is only a stop gap.

Then there are those who continue to say that if all the ice shelves and ice burgs melt we will be flooded.
Years ago when schools taught serious stuff we were taught that most of the ice was under the water level.
When water freezes it expands ,pity the brains of some of these people did not expand and they would then see that when it melts it take sup less space.
