Des you ae correct, cannot recall seeing that many when at sea.
But now, saw a guy the other day and though he had a problem with his legs until I realised it was covered in tats.

But a girl in every port, just make sure the fiance back home does not know any of your mates, might become a bit hard to explain.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

#20.. Des myself on a woman I think they look obscene and takes away any attraction they may of had. Would be certain for me in my case to make sure the light stayed off in the bedroom. They have no appeal to me whatsoever unless it was imperative for medical reasons to have , such as a rare blood group tattooed in some inconspicuous place like not on the forehead. I would much prefer to see a lady in silk stockings than dragons climbing up her legs. See no necessity for anyone to tattoo themselves or bones through their noses and rings through their tongues. But that’s just me , I wouldn’t like to live with some of the pictures on my skin for the rest of my life. JS

John, rings thro their noses is not the only place they are fitted; I recall posting quite a long time back about one "lady" who proudly showed me her new piercing by pulling her panties to one side to show me; this was in the public bar of the Crown Posada in Newcastle, more or less opposite Commons old offices. The beer is always spot on in there but this form of entertainment I think is not Common.

Tony in 1967 we picked up a chief steward in Chagaramus in Trinidad for the run back to Port Alfred and Montreal he was off one of the Sun ore carriers running from the Mackenzie river with bauxite and which we used to bring back to Port Alfred and then necessary to Montreal to load again general cargo.I wish I could remember his name as there were people on this site out of the Sun ships. Our chief steward in the meantime a sauve French Canadian, was having time off Port of Spain. His replacement that was there was only until the ship until got back to Montreal and hence was being flown back to the uk . He was from Liverpool and had also been in Changi as a POW. He was definetley not passenger material. And was a full time job being around in his area when some of the old dears were in the vicinity. He had the habit of when talking about tattoos to say I have a good one do you want to see it ? If you said yes he would immediately produce his penis which itself was tattooed , I don’t know if it was done in Changi or not , otherwise he was a very affable man , small as he was , but you know what they say about men big man big p..., small man all p.... he was a good example of such .On his arrival back in his home of Liverpool I often used to think he may of finished up in some mental institution. In 1968 he would of been a man in his early fifties . Anyone out of the Saguenay ships know him . When I met our old ship mate I had every intention of asking him if he ever came across him but forgot and not having a name to give him would of been difficult, if Lou had. Still been alive would of asked him by now. Who knows he may of known him. JS

#27 reminds me of the story about the guy who had $100 tattoed on his old fella.
The wife was not impressed when he told her she could sit and watch money grow.
But when he told her she could blow $100 when ever she liked...........well the doc said the injury was not life threatening.
