Re: typical bleedin frogs
Has anyone noticed the PM has rightly stopped using the term "our friends in Europe" when he is talking about the EU of late.
Now if he was ships crew and not "passenger ship material" would he likely use them barstewards across the channel?
I wonder how 2 Jags JP would refer to them?

Well, its fact Lewis, William in 1066 recruited a large number of his force from the channel islands, and the locals were quick to remind me when i frequently sailed there, lol kt

The battle of Flodden rings a bell Vic.
This was Scotland's worst defeat at the hands of the English. King James the fourth of Scotland was killed in this battle. He was the last king to die fighting in battle in this country.

#70 Vic isn’t that where Bonny Prince Charles got his Bonny from . After so many years spent in the French Courts his French Foppish dress on his landing back in Scotland earned him the title of Bonny ? if he crossed over to Skye across the Kyle of loch Alshe he must have been a poor sailor to complain about the howling of the wind and the loudness of the waves roar. I could have swum it as is only a stones throw so to speak , and I am not a strong swimmer. All legend and only the proverbial grain of truth I imagine. But good for the history books, Cheers JS

You used to be able to get a nice tin of Shortbread that had Bonny Prince Charlie on the lid. Was it Walkers or Crawfords?
