Read an article that was posted on facebook, wasn't sure of it's feasibility, but evidently submitted by popular Mechanics....It covers the step by step action of the grounding... it was interesting reading....I checked the the web site and it came up..".popularmechanics.com"... didn't see anything on G-capt...What's your take on this article....

According to the latest news she will be kept safe until all dues and fines are paid.
Not quite sure what safe means.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Think that means seamen kept isolated and on short rations.

Fallout from the Ever Given's time lodged in the Suez Canal will "ripple" through the economy for the next few weeks or months, according to Maersk, the world's biggest shipping company.

Good morning guys, I'm sorry for any confusion regarding this post. I don't know why it cannot be found.... It is a step by step account from the time she arrived at Suez, awaiting the convoy line up, arrival of the the pilots, weather reports ect. As the convoy moved off, some of the larger ships had tugs assigned to them, as requested by the captains or companies in case of getting into problems. It also touches on the wind and sand storm and the fact that speed was increased to 13 knots, attempting to correct a swing, getting close to the bank and causing the bank effect, I'm sure the bridge officers are aware of this.
Not being a computer techie on the finer points of controlling this beast, I just entered the given ..... popularmechanics.com.... into the line at the top of the screen in line with the two arrows and the reload this page icon and it came up..... As stated, I'm sorry for any confusion caused in not finding this article.

Maybe it has restrictions on its reproduction Stan. I believe anything one tells me when it comes to electronics , I know nothing about it. So if something wants fixing ,Mr Fixit comes in if I can afford it. However the Suez Crisis as it will be known in days to come is obvious to most seamen , and most parts of the world will already be paying more for the likes of petrol. This is the law of the jungle . If I as the owner of the vessel being arrested I would say good ! Keep it we”ll call it quits , and forget about the Suez Canal. No private company could or would comply now and in the near future of the costs that will be imposed on them. It’s all above the layman’s heads. Someone will pay for sure and that is probably the man in the street. JS
